We are 40 Roomors, a duo artist team from Thessaloniki, Greece.
Our Influences
40Roomors is an art duo based in Thessaloniki and Litochoro, active in contemporary textile arts since 2021. The collective consists of Domniki Ntourou, an Architect (AUTH) with an inclination toward artistic expression and interior design, and Yiannis Batsaras, a contemporary artist whose primary medium is graffiti, through which he expresses his perception of space and composition. They specialize in the technique of tufting and the vertical loom.
Their works are characterized by multi-layered relief textures and earthy color palettes, drawing inspiration from natural motifs and the imitation of materialities through yarn. The scope of their work includes tapestries, large-surface coverings, and art installations.
